Abstract

The rate of child marriage in Jember is still quite high. The number reaches more than 1,000 every year. In fact, in the four months from January to April 2023, the Jember Religious Court (PA) received 431 applications for marriage certificates (diska). The highest occurs in January and February. According to PA Jember data, the number of studies increases significantly every year. There were 1,442 applications in 2020 and 1,379 applications in 2021. In 2022, the number will drop to 1,364. This change in numbers is expected to occur in 2023. There were 149 admissions in January, 145 in February, 80 in March, and 57 in April. This research was conducted to see the extent of implementation of Jember Regency Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2023 concerning Child Friendly Districts. This research uses empirical juridical research, the data used comes from primary and secondary legal materials. The data collection technique was carried out by interviews at the Jember Regency Women's Empowerment, Child Protection and Family Planning Service.
