Juridical Analysis Of Administrative Verification Of Political Parties Participants In The 2024 Elections Based On General Election Commission Regulation Number 4 Of 2022

This research was conducted to analyze the administrative verification of political parties participating in the 2024 elections based on General Election Commission Regulation Number 4 of 2022 with the provisions of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections. This research uses normative juridical legal research methods. The data used is sourced from primary, secondary and tertiary legal materials. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive analysis. From the results of the research it can be concluded that the General Election Commission Regulation Number 4 of 2022 is the implementation of the provisions of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections to regulate the procedures for registration, verification, and determination of political parties as election participants for members of the DPR, DPRD. The utilization of SIPOL in the administrative verification of political parties is in line with Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections. However, in the implementation of verification of political party members through video calls, there are differences in views between KPU and Bawaslu. According to the KPU, verification via video call is in accordance with General Election Commission Regulation No. 4 of 2022, while according to Bawaslu it is not in accordance with procedures and violates General Election Commission Regulation No. 4 of 2022 because it is only further regulated in KPU Decree No. 346 of 2022 which was issued after the implementation of the video call.
